The Concept
Swapocado is basically a dating app for avocados in your neighborhood.
You have a ripe avocado but no plans to eat it tonight? List it on Swapocado.
You desperately want avocado toast but only have a rock-hard one? Find a match nearby.
Mutual gain, zero waste.
It’s Tinder meets food sustainability, but way more niche.
What’s next
Realistically? Swapocado will never see the App Store.
But as a UX thought exercise, it was a fun deep dive into hyper-niche problem-solving.
What I learned:
Absurd problems can still be solved with solid UX principles.
There’s always a way to make mundane interactions engaging.
Food sustainability + tech is a genuinely interesting space (if anyone wants to fund Swapocado, call me).
